2. Scope

LE BENIC sells to consumers in Iceland. These terms apply together with Lög um neytendasamninga nr. 16/2016 (consumer contracts), Lög um neytendakaup nr. 48/2003 (consumer sales) and Lög nr. 30/2002 (e-commerce). Should any provision of these terms be less favourable to you than the law, the law prevails.

3. Products and prices

The product page sets out the main characteristics of each product, together with its size, its price and its price per litre. Prices are stated in Icelandic krónur (ISK) and are final: no charge is added at checkout other than the delivery price for the method you select, which is shown before you pay.

Delivery is available within Iceland only.

4. How to order

1. Add the product to your cart, then open the cart to proceed to checkout.
2. Enter your contact and delivery details and select a delivery method.
3. Review the order summary. Any detail, including the quantity, can be corrected before you pay.
4. Select the payment button. Payment is made on the secure payment page of our payment provider.
5. Once the payment is confirmed, the confirmation page is displayed and an order confirmation is sent to you by email.

The contract is concluded when your payment is confirmed. The confirmation email contains the details of your order, these terms and the information on your right of withdrawal. We keep a record of your order and will send you a copy on request. These terms are available in English and Slovak; an Icelandic version is being prepared.

5. Payment

Card and wallet payments are processed by Teya Iceland hf. on its secure payment page. LE BENIC never receives your full card details. Your card issuer may ask you to confirm the payment (3-D Secure). The accepted payment methods are shown at checkout, and your card is charged when you place the order.

6. Delivery

Delivery methods, times and costs are set out on the Shipping & Delivery page. LE BENIC remains responsible for the parcel until you receive or collect it.

7. Right of withdrawal

You may withdraw from your purchase within 14 days of receiving it, without giving a reason. The procedure, the refund and the single exception for sealed products are explained on the Returns & Refunds page.

8. Defects and complaints

If a product is defective or damaged, you have the rights set out on the Consumer Rights page, including a complaint period of two years from delivery. Write to us at contact@le-benic.com.

9. Personal data

The way we handle your details is described in the Privacy Policy. What is stored in your browser is described in the Cookie Policy.

As a customer, you may occasionally receive emails about LE BENIC products. You can decline them with a single tick at checkout, and every email carries an unsubscribe link. Your choice has no bearing on your order.

10. Disputes

Contact us first, so that we can resolve the matter together. You may also refer a dispute to the Icelandic complaints board for goods and services:

These terms are governed by Icelandic law. This does not diminish the protection afforded to you by Icelandic consumer law.

We may update these terms from time to time. Your order is always governed by the terms in force when it was placed.
